Soundstep Workshops is pleased to offer your class the opportunity to enjoy our SCOTTISH MUSIC & SONG workshops.
These workshops are designed for P4 - P7 groups, and give the children an opportunity to:

• Perform some of Scotland's folk songs and explore the events which inspired these    songs through music and movement.

• Compose their own Scottish folk song.

• Play the bodhran.

• Enjoy a performance of a selection of traditional Scottish songs by The Sorries,    accompanied by bodhran, mandolin and guitar.

• Further deepen their understanding of culture in Scotland and work alongside    professional musicians.

The Songs of Robert Burns
Scotland's Landscape
Mary, Queen of Scots & The Stuarts

We are happy to consider alternative topics your class may be covering or do a broader Scottish folk music workshop combining elements from these themes.
